Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Sai Real Estate Marketing ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information. We are a real estate consultancy based in Guwahati, Assam, helping people find and let out houses, flats, commercial spaces, showrooms, godowns and land.
For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here: we decide why and how it is used. You, as the person the information is about, are the Data Principal.

What this policy covers
This policy covers personal information we handle when you:
- visit this website (including the Home, About, Team, Privacy and Terms pages);
- call us, message us on WhatsApp, email us, or visit our office;
- ask us to find a property for you, or list your property with us; and
- go ahead with a rental, lease or sale that we help arrange.
It applies to information in digital form, and to paper documents you share with us that we later scan, photograph or record digitally.
What this website collects
This website does not ask you to type in any personal information. There are no forms, no login, no newsletter sign-up, no advertising trackers and no analytics tools. We do not set cookies and we do not store anything in your browser.
To display the site properly, your browser does connect to a few outside services. When it does, those services can see technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the page that made the request, as happens with almost any website:

The site also links to Google Maps, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. Nothing is sent to them until you tap one of those links. Once you do, their own privacy policies apply, not ours.
Information we collect when you contact us
We only collect what we need to help with your property requirement. Depending on what you ask us to do, this may include:
If you are looking for a property
- Your name, phone number, WhatsApp number and email address.
- What you are looking for: property type, preferred areas, budget, size, move-in date, and similar details.
- For businesses: the company name and the name and role of the person dealing with us.
- Notes of site visits, properties shown, and feedback you give.
If you are listing a property
- Your name and contact details.
- Property details: address, size, rent or price expected, and photographs and videos of the property.
- Where needed to confirm you have the right to let or sell: copies of ownership documents, tax receipts or land records.
If a deal goes ahead
- Identity and address proof (for example, PAN card or Aadhaar) needed to prepare a rent, lease or sale agreement, or for tenant police verification.
- Details of the agreement, such as rent, deposit, term, and payment of our service charge.
When sharing Aadhaar, please use a masked Aadhaar (only the last four digits showing), which you can download from UIDAI, unless the full number is legally required for that document. We never ask for bank passwords, OTPs, or card PINs.
We do not deliberately collect sensitive information such as health details, religion or caste. Please do not send it to us.
How we use your information

We rely on your consent, which you give when you contact us and share details for a stated purpose. We also rely on the legitimate uses allowed by the DPDP Act, such as keeping information you voluntarily gave us for that purpose, and meeting legal obligations. We do not use your information for any unrelated purpose without asking you first.
Property photos and listings
Owners who list with us agree that we may photograph the property and show those photos to enquirers, on this website, and on our social media pages. We avoid showing people, vehicle number plates, documents or anything personal in listing photos, and we never publish an owner's personal phone number or exact flat number on the website.
Photos of our office and team on this website are published with the consent of the people shown.
If you want a photo of your property, or of yourself, taken down, contact us and we will remove it from the website within 7 working days, and from our social media pages as soon as we can.
How long we keep it
- General enquiries that don't lead to a deal: kept while your search is active, and deleted within 12 months of our last contact unless you ask us to keep you on our list.
- Transaction records (agreements, receipts, documents behind our invoices): kept for as long as tax, accounting and property laws require. This is usually up to 8 years.
- Copies of identity documents: kept only as long as needed for the transaction or the legal requirement they were collected for, then deleted or shredded.
- Listing photos: removed once the property is let out or sold, unless the owner agrees that we may keep them as a past example of our work.
If we are about to delete information because its purpose is over, and deleting it could matter to you, we will try to let you know first.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, including:
- limiting access to the staff member handling your requirement;
- protecting office phones, computers and accounts with passwords or screen locks;
- keeping paper documents in locked storage at our office and shredding them when no longer needed;
- returning original documents to you and working from copies; and
- asking staff to keep client information confidential.
No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach happens that affects you, we will tell you what happened, what it may mean for you, and what we are doing about it. We will also report it to the Data Protection Board of India where the law requires.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access: ask for a summary of the personal information we hold about you and how we have used it, and who we have shared it with.
- Correction and update: ask us to fix anything wrong, complete anything missing, or update old details.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it by law.
- Withdraw consent: tell us to stop using your information at any time. This won't affect anything we did before you withdrew, but we may no longer be able to help with your property search.
- Grievance redressal: complain to us and get a response (see below).
- Nominate: name someone to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.
To use any of these rights, call, WhatsApp or email us. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we don't give your information to someone else.
The DPDP Act also asks Data Principals to provide accurate information and not to file false or frivolous complaints.
Calls and WhatsApp messages
By contacting us, you agree that we may call you, WhatsApp you or email you about your enquiry. We will only send updates about new properties if you ask for them. To stop these updates, reply "STOP" on WhatsApp or just tell us. We will stop within 2 working days.
We do not share your number with other agents or marketers.
Children
Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a young person is involved in a property arrangement, such as a student looking for accommodation, we deal with a parent or lawful guardian and take their consent.

We will acknowledge your message within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India under the DPDP Act.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the law changes or when we change how we work. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always show when it was last changed. If a change significantly affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you directly before it takes effect.
This policy has been written with reference to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.
